6 Hour Live Virtual Ethics CE - September 18th 9a-4p EST

This 6 hour continuing education training affirms clinician health and wellness as an ethical priority. This is an experiential training, which will include a review of the ethical codes that highlight the need for intentional prevention of impairment of the practitioner through the development of professional competence, self awareness, and self regulation skills.

Attendees will gain reinforcement in the importance of developing a genuine community of fellow professionals for connection and consultation. As a group, we will challenge basic definitions of self care and burnout, and develop the practical tools and skills to protect and guide the practitioner with the goal of sustaining the practitioner in providing these important services. This training is designed for mental health professionals, but also may be valuable to other health care professionals and providers.

Brittany Hautz holds a Master's degree in professional counseling, and maintains her License in Professional Counseling through Pennsylvania. She has received extensive training in trauma informed care and is Certified in the advanced trauma treatment, Brainspotting. Brittany has led and developed training programs for over a decade, and has provided supervision to pre-licensed therapists, and clinical case consultation to licensed therapists in community mental health settings, and the private practice setting.

Taking Care of the Therapist: The Ethics of Self Care has been approved by NBCC for NBCC credit. Hautz Counseling is solely responsible for all aspects of the program. NBCC Approval No. SP-4382.

*NBCC approved continuing education is acceptable for all licensed masters-level therapists in Pennsylvania. Course Objectives:

1. Participants will be able to identify the ethical codes that affirm the importance of clinician health and wellness

2. Participants will be able to define compassion fatigue, burnout, vicarious trauma, compassion satisfaction, and self-care

3. Participants will be able to utilize self awareness and self regulation tools to prevent practitioner impairment

4. Participants will be able to utilize strategies learned to develop an effective network of clinicians in which to engage in regular consultation

5. Participants will be able to utilize guided visualization, mindfulness, and meditation tools learned to prevent practitioner impairment

Participation:

Please be in quiet, private space for the Training. You are encouraged to Mute your Mic upon Entering and when not speaking to reduce feedback noise.

You must have your video on as part of the requirements to obtain CE credit for attendance.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:
